In the Kitchen: Additions to the Menu

Our job is to bring made-from-scratch food to the menu and your table every day, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. We go to extra lengths to do things such as slow smoking our Baby Back Ribs for almost five hours to ensure a savory, smoked flavor. Or individually battering and frying our chicken tenders.

It may sound like a lot of work, but we absolutely love it. Plus, around here, we try to do things the right way, not the easy way.

Part of doing things the right way is by listening to what you, our Guest, want and offering innovative dishes with flavors you love. We think it’s fun to flex our creative muscles and come up with some really great dishes that are sure to please your palate — especially ones that you’ve requested — like the new Salmon & Strawberry Salad.

We’re always getting requests for the option to add seafood to our salads. We first responded by providing the option to add either shrimp or substitute the chicken for salmon.  Now, we’ve taken it a step further and given this seafood favorite a salad of its own.

The goodness in that salad doesn’t stop just at seafood, though. We’ve thrown in a handful of ever-craveable candied pecans and bits of Asiago cheese. The sugar from the candied pecans and the salty flavor from the Asiago make a perfect flavor blend.

With seafood trending upward in popularity, we crafted another dish to add to our selection. Our Blackened Redfish with Crab Sauce is an ode to the seafood lovers. We start by searing a succulent redfish filet and seasoning it with a blackening spice.

If you thought we stopped there, you’ll be delighted to know we then cover the redfish in a crab sauce that’s made from scratch in-house with 100% real crabmeat. When it comes to seafood goodness, imitating scratch ingredients will never do!

Another thing we’ve done to the menu is taken the inspiration from summer and ran with it. What a great time to introduce our new BBQ Chicken & Half Rack of Ribs dish and our BBQ Chicken Platter!

We’ve taken our house-made BBQ sauce — the same exact sauce we slather on our smoked Baby Back Ribs — added some honey and brown sugar and coated juicy cuts of slow-roasted chicken in the deliciously sweet glaze.

If BBQ sauce and juicy meat doesn’t do the trick of bombarding your taste buds with summer flavor, then our Peach Crisp A La Mode will seal the deal. Summertime is so much sweeter when you’ve enjoyed the flavor of juicy peaches, so don’t hesitate to come in and order our Peach Crisp A La Mode.

To finish things off, we’ve saved the biggest for last: a 20 oz. Bone-in Ribeye Steak. We really wanted to go for the “wow factor,” so we added almost a pound and a half of mouthwatering steak to our menu at a more-than-reasonable price.

Great steak for a great price? We can’t think of anything more worthy of the label “goodness.”
