Make Your Own BBQ Sauce from Scratch!

It’s that time of year again: it’s National BBQ Month — one of our favorite times of the year! Last year, we kicked off National BBQ Month by serving up a blog about all things southern BBQ. And the blog was “well done,” if we do say so ourselves! We featured the styles of BBQ that define that southern taste — styles like KC BBQ, Texas BBQ and Carolina BBQ, to name a few.

This year, we wanted to feature some BBQ sauce recipes that make those styles and some other unique styles of BBQ so unbelievably delicious!

Peach BBQ Sauce

You had to have known that we’d include a recipe that featured peaches! Our last two blogs featured drinks and desserts packed with peaches, and we didn’t want to stop there! Sorry, not sorry!

This recipe for Peach BBQ Sauce features fresh peaches that will add to the sweet and tangy taste that’s downright delicious, all slathered on top of a full rack of ribs!

White Alabama BBQ Sauce

Alabama is known for doing their BBQ sauce a little bit differently. Instead of using the commonly used tomato base for their cookout condiment, they start with mayo. And everything gets better from there!

This White Alabama BBQ Sauce recipe, your taste buds won’t be able to get enough of the sweet and savory!

Tangy Carolina BBQ Sauce

This recipe for Tangy Carolina BBQ Sauce takes the BBQ style of the northern of the two Carolinas and mixes all the goodness together in a Mason jar. This recipe is everything you could ask for in a savory BBQ sauce, as every one of its ingredients aims for a bold, tangy kick.

Homemade Carolina-Style BBQ Sauce

Not to be confused with North Carolina-style of BBQ sauce, which uses a tomato base and mixes in just a tiny bit of mustard, this recipe for Homemade Carolina-Style BBQ Sauce goes all out for mustard!

It includes both the classic yellow mustard as well as Dijon mustard, so if you can’t get enough of the yellow stuff, this BBQ sauce is just for you!

The Best Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce

We may have already included a fruity BBQ sauce right at the very beginning, but a BBQ sauce that paired raspberry and chipotle was too good to pass up!

This recipe for The Best Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce calls for fresh raspberries and a bit of brown sugar, so if you like yourself some KC BBQ, this will add a bit of a fruity spin to the sweet taste of KC BBQ sauce.

We know the importance of a good BBQ sauce. That’s part of what makes our House Smoked Baby Back Ribs so irresistibly delectable! It’s the sweet flavor of the brown sugar and honey that really give our ribs that extra element of goodness!

And we don’t stop with ribs!

We slather that same scratch-made BBQ sauce all over our juicy BBQ chicken quarters as well! Come visit your local Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen and order our BBQ Chicken & Half Rack of Ribs for a plate of tangy BBQ goodness!
